I had friends over for a meal last week!!

I had an interesting day today. I called in sick and spent most of the day resting (as advised by my mother and Melanie). I slept until 2pm with one waking for bathroom, breakfast, and reading in bed. Then I got up and ready and went to the Dr. to see if he could give me any insight about my 2 month cold (coughing/sore throat) and my swollen lymph nodes. He says it's probably a bad case of sinuses, but wasn't sure enough of himself. He ordered a chest xray and bloodwork, so I went straight to RMH for those, then went grocery shopping and bought 6 quarts of OJ, and came home to make honey-baked chicken, rice and salad for my friends Angela and Meredith. We carpooled to my volleyball tournament, I played 2 games, then all returned here for hot tea, ping pong, Latino music, and 2 games of settlers (which I won :)). At 1:30 am I was washing dishes and vacuuming . I think I'm about ready to go back to bed. I will *try* to get back into blogging mode, for those of you who are interested. Sorry to keep you waiting so long.

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. Hope everything turns out alright. Hopefully the *try* to keep us posted phrase yields much fruit!! (Hee-hee that was corny...oh well). Thanks for updating us. The meal looks delicious and creatively arranged/displayed. Looking forward to seeing you next weekend here in Durham.
Love,
Sylvia

Interesting that he ordered a chest x-ray when he thought it was your sinuses. Was he ruling out pneumonia? How are you feeling now? I hope you are able to get a lot of rest in the next couple days. We think about you a lot here, Lydia and Dara say your name often. We miss you! Love, Carmen
